It is that time again.  The March edition of PRWeek was just released and one of the highlights, as in PRWeek Salary Surveyyears past, is an article featuring the  PRWeek/Bloom, Gross & Associates Salary Survey results!  We continue to be proud of our partnership with PRWeek and are happy to share the information uncovered by the survey.  Some of the findings that we found interesting are highlighted here.

  • the percentage of salary increases reported in this survey were down from what was reported in the 2017 survey
  • investment in hiring was in “new” areas like research and analytics, as confirmed by Golin co-CEO, Gary Rudnick
  • the boundaries separating comms, marketing, digital and sales are breaking down and a successful PR person will need to push out into those areas
  • the gender pay gap still exists but is shrinking in the group with less than five years of experience
  • 74% of the respondents said that training/career development programs are an important benefit
  • 72% said that flex time is an important benefit and 27% said they are likely to change jobs in the next year

We hope you find this helpful.  Please feel free to use us as a resource for benchmarking, or for help in recruiting for those hard to fill positions.  With 30 years in business, let us be your executive search source.
