Karen Bloom is the Principal of Bloom, Gross & Associates, which was founded in 1988. With over 25 years in the recruiting industry, Karen’s specialization in the fields of marketing and communications is reflected in her firm’s areas of practice. Karen championed the growth of Bloom, Gross & Associates and is responsible for new business initiatives as well as overseeing day-to-day operations and maintaining a strategic role in the searches conducted by the firm.
Karen served on the Board of Directors for the Staffing Management Association of Greater Chicago (SMAGC) for over 20 years, holding various leadership roles, as well as being the first recipient of the SMAGC Distinguished Service Award. In 2010 Karen proudly accepted the Human Resources Consulting Firm of the Year Award from the Chicago Association of Minority Recruiters (CAMR) on behalf of her organization. Widely quoted about her observations and experiences regarding employment trends and practices, Karen has partnered with PRWeek since 2007 as the branded sponsor for the PRWeek annual salary survey.
Karen has a B.S. from Ball State University and an M.S.W. from the University of Michigan..
