Karen Bloom is the Principal of Bloom, Gross & Associates, which was founded in 1988. With over 25 years in the recruiting industry, Karen’s specialization in the fields of marketing and communications is reflected in her firm’s areas of practice. Karen championed the growth of Bloom, Gross & Associates and is responsible for new business initiatives as well as overseeing day-to-day operations and maintaining a strategic role in the searches conducted by the firm.
Karen served on the Board of Directors for the Staffing Management Association of Greater Chicago (SMAGC) for over 20 years, holding various leadership roles, as well as being the first recipient of the SMAGC Distinguished Service Award. Widely quoted about her observations and experiences regarding employment trends and practices, Karen was a contributor to the book, “On Staffing: Advice and Perspectives from HR Leaders,” published in 2004 by John Wiley & Sons.
Karen has a B.S. from Ball State University and an M.S.W. from the University of Michigan..
Bloom, Gross & Associates works on both a retained and a contingency basis.
